During 2009 Britain's weak currency has resulted in a unexpected boost for the capital's visitor numbers. Overall tourist numbers were up 6%, which was calculated from data gathered from London's attractions and museums. The fall in the currency has also lead to many leading travel sites and publications, including the Lonely Planet, naming London as one of the best value destinations in the World.
